This 1860s stone barn with its 20-inch thick rough-cut limestone walls bears the patina of over one-and-a half centuries of weathering. Now a charming 645 square foot guest house, Behr Barn was the first bed and breakfast guest house in Fredericksburg (originally known as the Schmidt Barn).
The pioneers never had it this good! The entirety of the Behr Barn’s structure embodies rustic charm and comfort while maintaining the niceties of modern day conveniences. The cozy loft of the rustic limestone building- once the granary- sleeps two and the downstairs hosts a small kitchenette, living space, and full-sized luxurious modern bathroom. If the weather is nice, you might want to sit out on the front porch or even enjoy your own private courtyard out back!
